About Karl

Mr. Karl R. Heintz holds a Master’s in Politics from Claremont Graduate University, where he studied political philosophy and American political history. He also holds a Bachelor’s in Economics from the University of Santa Cruz, and an Associate’s in Mathematics from Palomar College.

Since 2010, Mr. Heintz has tutored students of all ages in nearly every subject. He has worked for several companies, including Varsity Tutors and Sylvan Learning Center. While tutoring for the GEAR UP program at Palomar College, Mr. Heintz received a Level 1 certification in STEM subjects from the College Reading & Learning Association through the International Tutor Training Program.

His research focuses on the relationship between economics and politics, as well as the relationship between freedom, prosperity, and virtue. His article on early American poor relief was accepted for publication in his first year of graduate studies. He is currently engaged in studies of the American Founding, John Locke, and Baron de Montesquieu.

Originally from California, he has moved to Chattanooga, Tennessee for greener pastures (both literally and figuratively). He loves watching movies, reading, writing, and watching fireflies in his backyard at night.
